Follow the best snow, pair Gudauri with Kazbegi or Bakuriani with Borjomi, and stop at mountain villages on the way. For groups and families it's simpler than booking several transfers.
The season runs from December to April and the winter cars go fast around New Year, so book early. Check the weather and road conditions before you set off: even a 4x4 can't open every mountain road in heavy snow.
